Terms of sale for online orders

Last updated 3 November 2026.

These terms apply when you order and pay for a service on adoraip.com. Today that is the EU trademark clearance search, ordered at adoraip.com/order/eu-clearance-search in English or adoraip.com/es/pedido/busqueda-de-anterioridades-ue in Spanish. Work we agree with you by email or in an engagement letter is governed by what we agree there, not by these terms.

Some sections apply only if you are a consumer, meaning you order for purposes outside your trade, business or profession (article 3 of the Spanish consumer law, Real Decreto Legislativo 1/2007). Those sections say so. Everything else applies to consumers and business clients alike.

1. Who we are

Adora IP (Adora Intellectual Property) is the trading name of Gergana Dimitrova, NIF Y1895054Y.

2. What the EU clearance search includes

We search for earlier trademarks that are identical or similar to the name or mark you give us, for the goods and services you describe, in the classes you choose. The search covers the EU trademark register kept by EUIPO, the national registers of the EU member states and international registrations designating the EU. You receive a written opinion on the risk of using and registering your mark in the EU.

The opinion is our professional assessment of the registers on the day of the search. No clearance search can be exhaustive, and the opinion is not a guarantee that the mark is free to use or that EUIPO will register it.

The search covers trademark registers only. It does not cover company names, domain names or businesses using a similar name without having registered it. A separate commercial use search covers those. The search also does not include preparing or filing a trademark application, or drafting the list of goods and services for one, and you are under no obligation to instruct us to file after the search.

We send the report by email to the address you give in the order, within 3 to 5 working days of your payment. If we need more information from you, the time runs from the day we receive it.

3. Prices, VAT and income tax withholding

ServicePrice before VAT
EU clearance search with written opinion, up to 3 classes€358
Each class after the first 3€80

The order page shows the total you will pay, with any VAT, before you go to payment. Nothing is added after that.

Whether Spanish VAT applies depends on where you are and whether you order as a business:

You areSpanish VAT
In Spain (peninsula or Balearic Islands), consumer or business21%
In the Canary Islands, Ceuta or MelillaNone
A consumer in another EU country21%
A business in another EU country, with a VAT number that VIES confirmsNone. The reverse charge applies and you account for VAT in your own country
A business in another EU country, without a VAT number VIES confirms21%
Outside the EU, consumer or businessNone

VIES is the European Commission's register of EU VAT numbers. We check your number in VIES when you order. If VIES does not respond at that moment and you choose to continue, we charge Spanish VAT at 21%. We then check the number ourselves before we issue the invoice. If VIES confirms it, we refund the VAT in full to the card you paid with and issue the invoice under the reverse charge.

If you are a business or professional in Spain who must withhold Spanish income tax (IRPF) from our fees, tick the box on the order form. You then pay the total less 15%, and you pay the withheld amount to the Spanish Tax Agency (Agencia Tributaria) and declare it.

We email you the invoice after the payment is in.

4. How you order

  1. You fill in the order form: the mark, what you sell, the classes and who the invoice is for.
  2. You tick the box asking us to start the search as soon as you have paid.
  3. You press "Continue to payment" and pay on the payment form, which Stripe provides.
  4. The contract is made when Stripe confirms the payment and the order confirmation page appears.

Until you pay, you can change or correct anything on the form, and the payment form shows the amount before you confirm. If you notice a mistake after paying, email us straight away and we will correct it before we start.

The order form and these terms are both in English and in Spanish, and you can contract in either. We keep a record of your order and of the version of these terms that applied to it, and we send you a copy by email. You can ask us for it again at any time.

5. Payment

You pay in euros when you order, by card, through Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. (Ireland). We never see or store your card details. If the payment does not go through, no contract is made and nothing is charged.

6. Your right of withdrawal (consumers only)

You have 14 calendar days from the day the contract is made to withdraw from it, without giving a reason (article 102 of Real Decreto Legislativo 1/2007).

When you order, you ask us to start the search straight away and confirm that you know you lose the right of withdrawal once the report is delivered. So:

  • If you withdraw before we start, we refund everything you paid.
  • If you withdraw after we start but before we deliver the report, you pay an amount in proportion to the work done up to the moment you tell us, and we refund the rest (article 108.4).
  • Once we have delivered the report, the right of withdrawal no longer applies (article 103.a).

To withdraw, tell us before the 14 days end with a clear statement by email to hello@adoraip.com or by post to the address in section 1. You can use the model form at the end of these terms, but you do not have to. It is enough to send your message before the period ends. We confirm receipt by email.

We make any refund within 14 days of the day you tell us, to the card or wallet you paid with, at no cost to you.

Business clients have no statutory right of withdrawal.

7. If we cannot do the work

If we cannot carry out the search, for example because of a conflict of interest, we tell you by email and refund the full price.

8. What we need from you

Give us accurate details of the mark, the goods and services and the invoice. The search and the opinion rely on what you tell us. If you change the mark or the goods after we start, a new search may be needed.

9. Liability

If you are a consumer, we are liable to you under Spanish law for the service we provide, and nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights or our liability for death or personal injury, fraud, wilful misconduct or gross negligence.

If you are a business client, our total liability for an order is limited to the price you paid for it, except where the law does not allow a limit, such as for wilful misconduct or gross negligence.

10. Confidentiality and personal data

We treat what you tell us about your mark and your plans as confidential. A search does not file or publish anything. We process your personal data as our privacy policy explains.

11. Complaints

Send any complaint by email to hello@adoraip.com, by post to the address in section 1 or by phone on +34 672 715 091. We confirm receipt with a reference and answer within 15 days at the latest (article 21.3 of Real Decreto Legislativo 1/2007).

We are not signed up to an alternative dispute resolution entity. If we cannot resolve your complaint, we tell you in writing about at least one entity that can hear it and whether we will take part (article 40.3 of Ley 7/2017).

12. Law and courts

Spanish law governs these terms and the contract.

If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in the courts where you live.

If you are a business client, the courts of Madrid have jurisdiction.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it.
