Respondent
Who is the respondent in a UDRP case, and how long do they have to reply?
The current holder of a disputed domain name, called the respondent, has 20 calendar days from the start of proceedings to file a response with the provider. Missing that deadline does not end the case; it goes to the panel with the respondent in default, which UDRP panels treat as a factor but not an automatic loss.
